Just checking in. Fitbit user here edging in on 1 million steps logged and 500 miles in since April '12.

For current and potential fitbit users out there, just a word of warning. The fitbit may be water resistant, but it is not waterproof. even sweating on a run can get inside the device and darken the display.

just a heads up.

I've had mine since the last week in May '12...currently at 932,000 steps, 378 floors, 403 miles...and 15.2 pounds lost :)

if you DO have issues with your fitbit, I have heard that they will replace it at no charge with just proof of purchase. My friend washed hers, and when she e-mailed them they told her they would ship out a replacement as soon as she emailed them a copy of her amazon receipt.

1 million steps!!! Holy cow! I know I'm nowhere near that, but how do you check to see what your total steps are?

ETA: Oops! FOund it! I have 598,000 total steps and 270 miles so far.

Since June 30, 2012 (with 10 days off in July when we were away on vacation and I didn't take the Fitbit along for fear of losing it somewhere out there):

    610,684 steps
    263.6 miles
    1,110 floors

I just wrap mine in a little saran wrap (then put a little hair band on it to keep it in place) before I workout so the sweat doesn't get on it. Works great!
