Great Places to Walk in Los Angeles

I am always looking for great places to walk in LA. For me they need to be safe, free or close to it, offer me a glimpse of nature and not too difficult (recovering from a foot injury) so steep eroding paths are a no-no for me. This morning I went to the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Preserve. Lot of shaded walkways by the lake. Easy parking and lots of cottontails and birds. http://www.laparks.org/dos/horticulture/sepulvedabasin_VicinityMap.htm

Griffith Park is great, the trails are well maintained, but the signage is lacking. here's a good website for trails in the area
