My new NSV

So I have been working out a lot lately and over the last several months have built up my ability to do cardio (elliptical and treadmill). I decided that I wanted to increase and improve my workouts a couple of weeks ago so I decided to go running at a local park. This has lead to me starting a running program which scheduled my first long run this morning.

So, 8 miles of straight jogging at 4.25 MPH is the most I have ever run in my life. Even in school growing up the coaches never taught us to throttle our speed to maintain a run. I was able to do the 8 miles in 1 hour and 52 minutes this morning and in the next several weeks I will work to improve this performance a bit. I am actually thrilled to have been able to make this distance as I start my current running program.

Life is good!

WARNING!!! WARNING!!!! Running can be very addictive! I started off just wanting to run a mile, now I am training for a marathon.
