My apartment is tiny. How much room do you need to do Insanity? Thinking about it as a non gym workout challenge--especially as the colder months lurk around the corner.

Maybe a Monday morning poster will know?
  • I workout in my dorm room, so i bet you have plenty!!!! Seriously i think you just need enough space to lay down one way, and your good (btw laying down for me is 5'3" wide) I love it because all i need is a tiny space, and 45 minutes later im a pile of sweat. On week three and already seeing results! Become insane!

You need a decent amount of space - about enough for a single bed.

Thanks. I have a legendary tiny Manhattan apartment. I can only lay down one direction (6'2) and only 4ft other way. So I have a thin rectangle space in living room.

I wish there was a preview to help me see for myself.

Oh I started insanity last monday! I think I saw someone post at least 5 x 3 . That's about right. You just need a little extra room to be able to move side-side and front-back motions and to stretch. I just push things over in our living room, works great. Good luck to you, it's wonderful. Excellent program.

Just for entertainment you might chuckle hearing my $2600 a month 1 bedroom apartment that my husband and I live in is only about 450sq ft. and our building is not even remotely luxurious although we like living here.

You should be good if you can lay down one direction and have 4 feet of space the other way. You will have to control your jumps - higher rather than wider, but if front and back you can jump without bumping into anything, sideways do the same, and do a burpee without hitting anything, you are good to go.
