How much does something like this generally cost? I know it depends on the doctor and your region etc etc but hearing how much others have paid would be helpful...

I have extra skin on my lower abs that absolutely drives me insane and I would like to someday have it removed...

Thanks in advance! :flowerforyou:

it does vary by region and doctor... but I think the initial consultation is free
  • I have had a mini tummy tuck whereby they do not cut into the muscle, only remove and tighten the extra skin. They cut from hip bone to hi bone to make it neat so there would be no folds. Today you can hardly see the scar and it is below bikini line. I had mine done many years go in South Africa so cannot advise on cost, but can advise to have it done - best thing I ever did. Find out all your options and shop around plastic surgeons. You need to like and trust them and make sure they are registered.

I had it done, it was the best thing I've ever done. However, my extra skin was down to my knees and I needed to get rid of it. Insurance paid for the bottom half to get done but for the rest of it (top half and butt lift) it was $12,500. I really want to get my arms done but that's $8500 that I don't have. Oh well, someday...

My consultation fee was $125. The tummy tuck itself will be $6000. I will be having it done Sept. 17. I am getting a full tummy tuck with the ab muscles pulled back to center.

I had a modified tuck (skin removal only) in Minneapolis a few years ago. It was $6,000. None of the docs I consulted charged for a fee, but I think a lot that do will apply the fee to the cost of the surgery if you go with them.

I'm glad you asked the question...I'd been wondering the same thing. I hope to have it done someday too. I still have 10 lbs. to lose and then I'll re-evaluate but I'm sure it'll happen one of these days. The cost I've been seeing around here is between $5k & $6k depending on what you have done. There's a lot of different options. Just go in for a consult and see what they say.
