Guide to use of gym machines, reps, etc?

Other than my (mostly) daily zumba routine, and walking/jogging on the treadmill, I am clueless when it comes to fat burning gym routines. What machines do I use in the gym? How many reps? How long?

Suggestions? What do you do in the gym to help with weight loss and fat burning?

School is starting in abit and I really want to make use of the gym that is part of my school fees lmao.

Two questions, what machines are at the gym for you to use? Also how long are your Zumba sessions and walking/jogging on the treadmill?

I spend 30 minutes on the treadmill (walking), 20 minutes on Elliptical or bike (one per session) and about 10 minutes on a rower doing 2000 - 2500 Mtrs, I'm at the gym 3-4 times a week.

I then use 7 different resistance machines per session working arms, shoulders, abs and lower back and legs. Is there anyone at the gym who could walk you through the machines and give you pointers on a routine? A coach or Phys Ed teacher.

There is no such thing as a fat burning routine. There are only "calorie burning routines."

See, told you i was clueless. Thank you for the clearer insight. I am new to actually going to the gym.

I believe the gym I am going to has all if not most of the frequented machines. it definitely has treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and rowers that you mentioned. My zumba sessions usually take an hour or 30 minutes depending on my schedule. When I do choose to walk I usually do so for an hour , 3 mph on the highest incline, for jogging, I do for about 30 minutes 5mph highest incline.

Oh , there are some people who actually assist so I might just go ask them.

Thank you as well for painting a clearer picture for me :) Very much appreciated.
