Help- Need to lose weight fast!

Basically, i'm going back to University in 2 weeks time having put on 8 pounds! Sooooo i now have 2 weeks to try and lose 8 pounds! any tips!?!?!?

Nobody will care.
So if you want to lose it, eat about 2000 calories a day and do some exercise. It will come off.0 -

You probably didn't gain 8lb of FAT in 2 weeks.
You probably will not lose 8lbs in 2 weeks.
You probably should learn some basics about weight loss that you can apply long-term rather than being in a hurry.0 -
by eating 1200 calories a day and doing some pretty serious exercise you could probably drop 5-6 lbs...good luck0

good luck, i think it's near impossible to lose 8 pounds in two weeks, but its worth a try. keep your water intake high, low carb and i would prob limit myself to 12,000 calories, seeming as you are small.0

Give yourself four to five weeks to lose eight pounds. You will lose it the healthy way and therefore keep it off. The only way to lose eight pounds in two weeks is a crash diet which will mostly be water weight so you will look the same anyway. My suggestion...it is eight pounds. Don't worry about it even if it is noticeable on your small frame. Unless you need to be a specific weight for sports or something, no one else but you will really care about those eight pounds.0

The lack of patience will ultimately end up being far worse for you than the 8lbs.0 -
Weight loss "quick fixes" are detrimental long term. 8lbs is not a lot to lose, which is good news for you. To put that into perspective, when the penny dropped with me that i needed to lose weight i had over 60LBS to lose, of which i've lost 48 so far. As a previous poster said, its likely that the 8lbs of which you speak aren't all FAT but more likely at least a couple of lbs of that will just be water weight...
My advice to you would be:
1: Drink more water (as your body holds on to excess fluids if you don't drink enough- its a survival thing). Aim for 2 litres or so a day.
2: Add a bit of exercise in a few times a week (i find kettlebell workouts great as they are quick and focused and combine cardio with strength so you get a bit of toning in there too- this has really taken the inches off me but of course, everyone's different so find out what exercise suits you)
3: Keep an eye on SUGAR intake!! I lost a lot of weight JUST by cutting right down on sugar/sugary foods and drinks. BEWARE OF FRUIT JUICES as some of these can contain a LOT of sugar if they're from concentrate. Eat everything as much in its natural form as possible as it will release energy more steadily instead of giving you a "sugar rush".
4: DO NOT "DIET"!!!! As soon as you tell yourself you're "on a diet", you deprive yourself of things and end up craving them more, so when you do go back to eating "normally", the weight goes straight back on and then some. Since i started my weight loss journey i've allowed myself a LITTLE of everything i like. It's just a matter of being mindful. Whatever changes you make to your eating habits, make sure they are sustainable changes you can maintain long term.

With that little to lose, you'd lose a lot of muscle trying to lose 4 lbs per week! Don't do it!
Just be sensible and set your goal to .5lb loss per week. You'll probably lose more than that, but at least try to hang on to your muscle with reasonable goals and sufficient protein intake.
The second you get back to school, all the walking will help peel the pounds off anyway.0 -

- Cut sodium
- Try a PSMF diet or a CKD diet.
- Try supplements (clen/T3, ECA etc).

My first question - when did you realize you gained 8 lbs and wanted to lose it?
Instead of trying to do this last minute and drop it so easily - you should have thought about this before lol
Maybe 2 months ago where you could eat a healthy, balanced, low calorie diet with exercise to get rid of it.
Most of us here are in it for the long run -- a lifestyle change -- to be healthier.
Not because we need 8 lbs to lose at the last minute, an easy way.

Oh man, I am pretty sure losing 8lbs in 2 weeks is not going to lead to a lifetime of unhealthiness. Just cut carbs to lose some quick and then do what they said for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and all that jazz.0

I know how you feel. I've gained 10 lbs that I worked VERY hard last year to get off. It took me a few months to lost those 10 lbs in the first place. You won't lose those 8 lbs in two weeks, but you can try to lose a few at least. You will feel less bloated and ultimately look and feel better. It'll come off eventually, just be patient0

If I were you, I would focus on not losing 8 lbs. quickly, but learing what you can about nutrition and how to make healthy foods convenient when you are on the go and in a hurry with your lifestyle. The 8 lbs. will come off as you eat healthy.0
