Weighing Food I'm sharing

This might sound ridiculous...but how do I weigh something to know the calorie content, if I'm sharing the dish?
For example, I'm making risotto tonight for me and my boyfriend. Now, I can weigh all my dry ingredients, but without cooking mine in a separate pan, I can't keep it accurate when I serve it up,if you see what I mean? How do I know for sure I'm having quarter of the pot, or 75g of rice for example?
I plan on taking the leftovers for work tomorrow, and the only way I can think of doing it would be to make one pot for me and one unweighed pot for my boyfriend, who eats much more than me when I only have 1320 calories!!
Thanks!

Hi
i usually do this by doing portion sizes. Say I am making chilli for myself, partner and daughter. I will do the reciepe for 4 people, and calorie count it for the whole dish. Then I have a quarter, my daughter with have a quarter and my partner the rest. That's the best way for me. But like you say you are not going to no exactly unless you cook everything separate which could become a pain.
Hope this helps0 -
Enter it as a Recipe in your Food tab. Weigh the entire batch when it's done. Then weigh your portion and divide that number by the total number of the weight of the batch.
i.e. - Cooked, the entire batch weighs, say, 750 grams (or ounces, if you use ounces) - Your portion weighs 160 grams.
160 divided by 750 = .2133333 (your portion)
So when you enter the food into your Food Diary, go to the recipe, and enter .21 in the portion size.0 -

That's really clever! I didn't know you could do that. I'll go have a go0

You can also do this when you aren't sharing, but make a large batch of something that will provide several servings and you're going to store/freeze the others. Just weigh the entire recipe to divide it into equal portions and store them individually.0 -
yep, what they all said ^^^0
