    I LOVE the new name!!! Last week was ROUGH for me ladies. I won't re-live it because I'm trying to start this week anew, but school was unnecessarily stressful :mad: :explode:

    On a BETTER note, I woke up at 4 am to workout before school (we have to get there at 5:15 now) And I'm REALLY proud of that! :love: :laugh:

    I hope you ALL have a great week! My goal is to get into the 130's within the next 3 weeks. May be lofty, but I'm going for it!

    Hey I just read all the post. Cathy.... Hope things are getting better with the house and everything.

    Tiff- sorry school is going so crazy. You did do a great job with the workouts.

    I ate at Texas Roadhouse and ummmm over did the bread basket and ate a side salad and cup of chili.I was full. Didn't even eat my dinner. Made me laugh. Next time i'll order a few sides and not a meal.

    Well... for breakfast I baked cinnamon buns (red fat) so they say but they were wonderful w/ Egg beaters. I straightened my hair out and now I don't wanna mess it up BUT I will workout today no matter what.

    Lorna- You have such a busy life. It would be easy for someone to make excuses but you are doing a great job keeping it all together. Congrats

    Just burned 640 calories doing my 56 minutes of "INSANITY SERIES" workout!!! Yeah because I ate 3 glazed donut's this morning!!! Go get your exercise in SIXERS you WILL feel better! Post what you did !!!

    what a crapy rainy day.....

    parade canceled, next weekend. showed son how to get his favs from the grocery store and use coupons he was shocked. bought him 2 packages lit'smokies, 4 packs of cookie mix, 2 potato boxes. came to $10 and change total after coupons $3 and change. he said he needed to get him some coupons. LOL.
    landlord called to see if the roof was leaking and to tell me now they won't be back until tues, or wed. i knew it. oh well, they can work around me now if they anything. i am the one with a huge trailer sitting in my driveway with shingles in it. plywood leaning against a tree, rolls of paper and a huge dumpster in the side yard, with my van pushed into the neighbors yard. people better be kissing my @$$.

    verda....today is my day of rest from exerise gym planned for tomorrow morning. than home and housework.
    tiff.....you made it through the week. yea..... great job on the exercising. doesn't it feel great knowing it's done and out of the way?
    tamm.....glad you are doing well....

    off to make cookies for DH lunches for the week.

    Verda- I want that series too! I bet its impressive. Today I did the Best of Taebo moves for ABS for 60 mins. I felt every minute of it!!!

    Kel- Glad you are doing well. :)

    Cathy- I had a rainy day so I didn't go out either. Did some well needed cleaning and receipt organizing and coupon cutting. LOL. Those cookies sound wonderful.... what kind. Cookies are my weakness!!!

    Cookies are my downfall ! Yes what kind did you make? I am baking my husbands favorite tonite, also for his lunch box! They are oatmeal/ Craisin/ pecan! He loves them, I'll eat them but they are not my favorite!! Have you girls exercised today???
    drtamm, good job on the exercise, sorry but I won't want your pains tomorrow!!! The Insanity Series is the best, I am NOT joking!!!!

    I bought mine from a "beachbody coach" off Ebay ! It is a sixty day program and it WILL kick your butt!! You can do it if you've been working out!!! As for the Oatmeal / Craisin / Pecan cookies they are NOT low cal but they do have good old fashioned oatmeal in them! LOL Preheat oven to 350* Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
    1 1/2 cups flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt Mix dry ingredients, then stir in oats & set aside. Beat butter and both sugars
    1/2 tsp. Cinnamon until fluffy. Add eggs to butter mixture one at a time while scraping down sides
    2 1/2 cups Old Fashion oatmeal of bowl. Continue beating while adding honey and vanilla. When mixed add the
    8 oz. UNsalted butter (softened) flour in two additions beating until well combined. STIR in the pecans and the
    1 cup Light brown sugar Craisins. Bake for 11 minutes. They may look a little not quite done but that is
    1/2 cup white sugar what you want. Set them on a cooling rack and start on the next batch . Recipe
    2 Large eggs plus one yolk makes 3 1/2 good sized cookies. Don't ask me the calories, I have no idea!!!
    1 Tbsp Honey
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/3 cups (6 oz,) of CRAISINS (or dried cranberries)
    1 cup (or more) of chopped pecans

    ding, ring, music, what ever your alarm is going off........get up.......time to do your what ever morning routine you have.......

    today i am going to the gym, stopping on my way home and see if the tire guy has another cheap tire for one of mine. than home to do the laundry i never got to last week, and clean, collect trash, take can to curb. than curling up with my book and relaxing.

    time to dress and go early to get it done......

    ps, cookies were chocolate chip, he made them. even thou he spent 30+ yrs in the restaurant business managing/cooking he can't make cookies or pies. guess that's why he kills bugs now.......

    Already up chipper :)

    Finishing up work at 9. Going to the gym. Hubby wants to try a 5k in the Spring. Not much of a runner, but today after my step class, going to give it a try and see how I do. Inspire me Chipper! Any other runners out there, give me some hints please.

    Then to the grocery store. Starting to try and cook dinners. Hubby is getting home later and later and I'm trying to make my cutoff time for eating at 7 p.m., so I guess I'm going to have to learn to cook to be sitting down at the table at least by 6:30 p.m.

    Back to work this afternoon then all the fun stuff that comes with kids and homework and family night games.

    Good morning Sixers!! Our cold in the night was 21 BELOW zero!! Suppose to get up to 20 Above by Saturday !!! I go to the gym today after my school kitchen job. I WILL do 30 minutes on eliptical, 20 minutes running on treadmill and 40 minutes of full body weight lifting! Yesterday I got in my water and my exercise but went over a little on calories, oh well it was'nt by much!
    I wish for you all a good day and that you go BURN up those calories!!!

    GOOD morning gals!

    Another Monday! I had a fairly good weekend...not workouts, but that's okay. Friday evening we met up with my in-laws for some dinner. I ate half a burger and splurged on some fries. (Whoops!:embarassed: ) Then Saturday I spent most of the day Christmas shopping. It was SO busy everywhere! But I am now almost finished, so glad I did it! I was bad and grabbed some fast food while I was out and about, but I ate very light then that evening for dinner. Yesterday was full of cleaning the house, doing laundry and dishes, and hanging out with my little one! She wasn't feeling too good I think, so was pretty fussy. It was a long day, and I was happy to go to bed last night. I'm pretty excited for weigh-in tomorrow as I weighed myself this morning ( I check in for another thread on Mondays) so I already know that I'm down! YAY! ANYways...hoping to get a workout in tonight!

    Verda, my Appy State Mountaineers lost to your Montana Grizzes this weekend. I was one sad girl. No play offs for us this year!

    I'm going to start my 5 week challenge tomorrow :wink:. I finally weighed in this morning and am holding steady. I'm getting better and ready to focus again. Life is just so crazy for me right now. I'm not sure how to manage it, and if I look at my month, I start to panic at the sheer amounts of 'stuff and things' to do, to be done, to plan for. Instead, I'm taking it day by day. I am looking forward to tomorrow, with nothing planned for my evening. Probably need to grocery shop though. *sigh*

    hello kristin, verda, lauryn, lula. sorry if i missed you. good morning.

    did the gym thing. only burned 635 and i ran a good bit today. so maybe HRM isn't working correctly. DH says i am just in better shape than i think i am. could be. anyway. goes to show i dwell on the HRM. which i shouldn't i worked out that's what matters most. got a used tire. now i don't vibrate down the road. he said it looked like it would blow any day. i thought so, cause the vibrations were getting worse. couldn't go over 50, and you could feel the thumping. cost me $20. i don't care if it doesn't match the others.

    got home and someone pulls up behind me in the street. i am thinking whos this. i get in the house. kept looking out the window. he gets out of his car. it's one of the roofers. i went out and he said they were starting it today. WHAT??? he said he got a call to be here. i called the landlord he said good. better tarp it when it rains later today and tomorrow. we figure they want their $6000 for Christmas. landlord hasn't paid them a dime yet.

    housework done, laundry doing, lunch around the corner, and than a shower.

    I'm still around - just busy and stressed about my job situation. I will probably gain a pound or so this week, but there are much worse things in life.

    Tonight, I'm heading to Kentucky for my great grandfather's funeral. We all called him Papa Sugarfoot because he used to curse like a sailor (since he was one), but when he started having kids and grandkids around, he started saying "well, sugar foot!" instead of cursing). He was in his 90s and really mentally lucid and really sure of his decision not to be revived (he was sick in the hospital when he died). He lived a great, very long life with two wives (his first one was my great grandmother) and a "younger" girlfriend (in her 70s) after his second wife died. He had some crazy adventures involving gangsters during Prohibition in New York. Really, I'm not sad that he died - he lived the kind of life that many people would trade their own for.

    I hope everyone else is ready for a great weigh-in tomorow morning!

I am ready for Christmas Eve and Christmas day to come and go! Tomorrow is my birthday too so my friend wants to take me to lunch and then my mom wants to go to dinner. Another day of eating! UGH! I dont have my self control under control if your know what I mean. Food is comfort for me.

I can so relate to you when you said why even attempt to lose weight durning the holidays. I have been eating and eating and haven't found one ounce of energy to put toward a single workout. Every time I turn around something is taking my attention away from the time I set aside for even a quick dvd. I am just about ready to skip this challenge. But I keep thinking I will get it together soon. I haven't posted any of may meals because I don't want to know how many calories I am consuming. Anyway enough of my whinning. I really just wanted to be sure to wish you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

    I will do personals on Friday when I get MY CHRISTMAS BREAK!!!! Lord knows I need it!

    Oh and I ate ~1600 cals today. That is a good amount for me right now.

    I feel you on the stress eating. No matter what, if I have a bad day I want food. If I am upset I want to eat. It is a non stop fight everyday to control myself. I'm not even sure anymore why I want to eat so much. I just want to eat because it is there. Just hang in there. This month is almost over and all the holiday eating will be over.

    On a positive note we share the same birthday!! I hope you have a great birthday!!

    I am mindlessly eating too. I think my mind thinks it will destress me. Its just so strange. Its a hard habit to break too. I had 2 good months...then Thanksgiving came and went and I never regained my control. I plan to take it back very soon! (I hope!)
