I started ae 270 5'6" my calories was 1390. Then I changed it to a sedentary and dropped to 1310 (for 2lbs per week). I am now at 1200. Of course I have to eat back calories after exercising to keep it above 1200. Looked at your diary. Your calories and carbs seem a little high. Try recalculating it.

Carbs are not inherently bad, but refined carbs do spike your blood sugar. When your blood sugar spikes, your body produces insulin which sequesters the glucose and encourages it to be stored as fat. Glucose also acts as a prison guard for fat cells - preventing your body from using fat stored in adipocytes as a fuel source.

    Suggestions:
    -Increase protein
    -Decrease carbs
    -Limit refined carbs
-Make sure each meal/snack has some calories from carbs/protein/fat

Thank you for this, I know it sounds crazy but I was actually genuinely confused about the glucose and blood sugar thing with carbs but you explained it so simply.

Wondering are refined carbs like white bread, pasta?...i'm finding it really hard to reduce carbs, its not that i eat a whole lot but what i do eat is heavy on carbs i guess like bread, cereal or potatoes. Guess some big changes need to be made.
  • I've been helped properly by pm, and it's all sorted now. To those who said I miss lunch, that was one day! Clearly you didnt bother to look further than yesterday. I had a protein bar at the gym, as per my trainers instructions. I always have three meals per day, I eat tons of veg, salad and fruit too. Those who say my cals are too high, I only put them that high today as it was worked out for me, going by my personal stats.

To those who helped me, I am immensely grateful.
