Moved in and brought their junk food

Justin........dont let others tempt you or convince you to step off the wagon. Its a long fall and very hard to climb back on. You've come soo far young man.........NO one is worth the fall. You've found a little niche for yourself now........and it doesnt have room for these other people or their junk food. STAND STRONG huni...............we're here to listen and to absorb your rant or thoughts of temptation. Just let it out with us where it's safe rather than "there" where there's food you really dont want to eat.
Definitely this!0 -
i'm not being rude. I'm trying to help.
He obviously has some kind of barrier in his mind so that when he sees junk food (it's called JUNK for a reason) he can't control himself.
Most of the Americans are given those foods as children, and that's why your taste buds are kind of ruined, that's why you put cream and butter on everything that can be eaten.
When you think about it, twinkies are disgusting and so are oreos, I have so many (american) friends on this website who said that after eating "clean" (no junk food) their taste changed, and now they don't find that stuff tempting.
With all due respect..
......and you're here why?
Because you've ALWAYS eaten healthy?
Because you've NEVER eaten junk?
Because you've ALWAYS made good food choices?
Because where ever it is that you live doesnt have these bad nasty foods?
Because you were NEVER ever fed these types of things or have eaten anything less than one hundred percent healthy and nutritious??
Id be very careful up there on that glass pedestal....somebody some day will knock your self righteous pompous derriere off it and it wont be pretty.
Have a great day
eta: and your first remark...and I quote: "i'm not being rude. I'm trying to help".....prefacing your tactless self serving remarks with this doesnt make what you're going to say more helpful or less rude. It doesnt give you carte blanche to say anything you want, it doesnt temper rude or tactless remarks.
Well said :drinker:0 -

Haha, i am here because I want to make sure that i am as healthy as possible and I want to look perfect.
Don't we all?
What i mean is, if he said they brought some godiva truffles or anything like that, THAT would be tempting. The guy's problem is that they brought unhealthy and disgusting stuff to his house and i'm trying to make him see that it's not as bad as it looks like. Why do you Americans get offended so easily?
You are famous for being extremely unhealthy and overweight.
Oooh and i am not from beijing so i don't eat dogs0 -

That is because your taste buds got f* up because your parents used to give you those kinds of foods.

Maybe we Americans don't like being told that we're all alike and we all eat crap.
I hope that when you get to that perfect look, you be able to concentrate on your interpersonal skills a bit.0 -

oh my god. obviously, people on this particular website are healthier than others. I'm talking Americans in general. Can someone say that i am wrong about that??
and THANK YOU i'm almost there0 -
This is what happened when I had to move in with my in-laws for 2 years. I was down to the perfect weight and I lived on my own so I had control of what I bought. Then my husband and I got married and I lived with them when my lease was up and they would bring pies and ice cream into the house daily, they drink 2 percent milk, and since I'm a vegetarian, they thought I lived on cheese pizza. I tried to resist, and I did what I could, but when there is nothing in the house for breakfast but cheese danish, sometimes it was impossible and I eventually gained some weight back (not to mention that I moved away from the city where I walked everywhere to the country where there are no sidewalks to walk).
I congratulate the OP on his weight loss and his will power. It's really hard when you try to change and someone literally dangles your vices in your face. My advice would be to talk to the visitors and tell them to please either refrain from bring these things into the house, or to get a big storage box (like rubbermaid) for their food and keep it with their belongings so it's not out there with the healthy food. Good luck! You can do it!0 -
You don't need to eat it, so don't. Its crappy junk, which you don't want to put in your body. You've obviously made changes for the better in your life, and you don't want to go back on them for the sake of some flour, sugar and water with sugary fruit and more sugar in. Its not worth it. You are.x0

Natasha.........
I understand you're from a different country...and that probably gives you considerably different views from those of us from the US. Not right or wrong, only different. I understand from your pic and your words, you're quite young. What I dont understand is how just because "you're almost there", that that somehow translates to coming here and attempting to make others feel bad or worse about themselves? You're picture shows a very pretty young lady with a stunning form.......you should be proud. But in "being proud" dont let it turn you ugly inside because you've come such a long way. Why not encourage others to work hard, like you have, or give them encouragement to become as strong as you have in your journey. You cant do that the way you've done here. You only make people think that the pretty outside form only houses a dark nasty ugly "inside". I cant imagine it's true but it's an equally broadbrush remark as the one you made about the U.S.
WOW......I hope I never get to the point you're at if it means I must put others down or be negative and make others feel worse to make me feel better. I find it deplorable that you attempt to make someone else feel bad because your journey is almost complete or whatever. I also find it odd that you would put down an entire country that you dont even live in with a broadbrush statement like you have as a defense for what you've said to Justin. What if someone were to treat you or one of your friends or family this way?
All that being said. I do hope you have a great day...stand strong, eat healthy, snack healthier, KEEP moving and stay fit!!!!0 -
Also, don't worry too much about whole milk , its full of protein0
-
try thinking of it this way... you manage to go to the shops and not buy junk food... same process you go to the cupboards and not pick it up youve already been doing it you just got to keep it up in a different environment...
maybe compile all of their stuff into one cupboard and all of yours into another to make life a bit easier ? hopefully a bit of the wanting to be healthy can rub off on them...
Im not going to wish you luck, beacuse you can already do it and you can continue doing it without any luck

I said that i am almost there because some people are being rude to me here, it was sarcastic. I am not going to try to explain what i meant by saying that twinkies and skittles taste like crap, and by no means did i mean to offend anyone. I have a bunch of American friends, i like them, and i am not generalizing.0
