Knee pain, time for new shoes?

Hi all, I've never had really great knees. I've noticed when doing jumping jacks during the 30 Day Shred dvd my knees really hurt, as well as when I run (and afterwards for that matter. It could possibly be how I land or my gait. I love running and would gladly do it more if I weren't afraid of injury to my knees.
Any suggestions?
Also, any sneaker recommendations?

Under Armour Spines.
I want to get me a pair of them as soon as i get the money.
I have Puma's now and i love them but i have had them forever and they are starting to get rugged out.0 -
Go to a running store and get fitted, then you will know what your feet are doing and get the shoes that are appropriate.0

That's a GREAT idea. Thank you. I don't know of any specific running stores in my area, though.0

There are probably some closer, but Wilmington has plenty. The Delaware Running Company seems to be a good choice.0
