    Down 1/2 lb. for me this week ... Well, Christmas is only a couple of weeks away ... 169 lbs most likely ain't happening by then ... a new year will bring new accomplishments.

    Today's weigh in could have been much worse. I was on travel this week and well... not so disciplined in the food and exercise area. Did anyone say turtle cheesecake :noway: Hopefully I will maintain through the end of the year and starting kicking butt again in 2010!!!! :drinker: I am happy with the progress I've made since joining MFP - 20lbs. My clothes fit better and I am definitely heading in the right direction. Slow and steady wins the race - Right? Is anyone planning on starting a "Looking Good for Summer" thread :happy: Another 20 would be nice :bigsmile:

    20 pounds is nothing to sneeze at. You are doing an amazing job. I have no doubt you will lose the next 20 pounds in 2010.

    You have a great idea for a Summer challenge. Maybe you could start that thread after Christmas or see if someone else wants to start it. That would be kewl.

    Hi friends ... I'm actually taking a quick break here at work ... It's still way too busy but I'm going to burn out if I don't watch it. So I went to the Doctor's last week because I was sooo sleepy all the time, and I'm always cold (especially my hands and feet), and my joints hurt, and my skin was dry, and my nails were splitting (and they're usually so strong), and my hair was thinning a lot (chunks coming out in the shower ... scary stuff). They did some blood tests and it turns out my iron is very low ... thank goodness it's something that can be fixed with diet and supplements. My vitamin D is also pretty low ... I asked for a prescription for a trip to Hawaii since there's so much vitamin D in the sun but they said no to that ... so I'll have to take supplements for that too. I'm so relieved that it isn't something more serious. Hopefully it won't take too long to get things back to normal. I hope all is well with you.

    So glad that it is nothing serious. I love the scrip to Hawaii. :laugh: I could use one of those as well. :bigsmile:

    Sorry for being late checking in. Lots going on. It's been a bit of a struggle but I'm still going down. I have slacked off on logging my foods and I really need to get started doing that again. At least I lost a bit this week. Let's hope I get at least CLOSE to 260 by Christmas.

    Updating for the week.

    Week 1 July 22 - 300.4 down 2.6 I'll take it!
    Week 2 July 29 – 300.4 No loss but after camping last weekend I’m surprised I didn’t gain. Hopefully next week will show a loss. ;)

    Week 3 August 5 - 299.6 -.8 lost really been struggling. Still trying though.
    Week 4 August 12 – 296 -3.6 woohoo!!!!!
    Week 5 August 19 – 293.8 -2.2 Yeah! I didn’t blow it on my camping trip last weekend.
    Week 6 August 26 – 292.3 -1.5 Woo hoo! Might make it to my goal next week! I sure hope so! Total of 10.7 lost since we started.

    Week 7 September 2 Labor Day is Monday - hope to be @ 290 by today. 291.4 lost .9 this week and didn’t make my goal Oh well, there’s always next week.
    Week 8 September 9 – 287.2 4.2 lost Woo hoo! I’m only a few days late but I’m definitely below 290 now.
    Week 9 September 16 – 285.8 1.4 lost total of 17.2 since we started
    Week 10 September 23 – 284.6 1.2 lost total of 18.4 so far. Doubting that I’ll make my 280 goal by next week though.
    Week 11 September 30 Eli’s birthday – 283 lost 1.6 total of 20 so far. I didn’t make it to my 280 goal by today but I’m close. Maybe next week.

    Week 12 October 7 – 280.4 2.6 pounds lost. I will take this as my 280 goal met. 22.6 pounds lost total.
    Week 13 October 14 – 280.0 .4 lost. Not all that impressive. Going to have to try harder. 23 pounds total
    Week 14 October 21 – 274  6.0 LOST!!! I don’t know what happened but I’m absolutely THRILLED with it. Let’s just hope it sticks.
    Week 15 October 28 – 274.6 ;-P .6 gained but that’s alright. After such a big loss last week I didn’t expect a loss this week. I’m still working at it though.

    Week 16 November 4 – 273.8 down .8 since last week. At least I’m headed in the right direction now.
    Week 17 November 11 – 271.4 down 2.4 since last week. Woo Hoo! 31.6 lost since we began in July.
    Week 18 November 18 – 271.8 up .4 just stressing to much. Hopefully I’ll be in the 260’s next week.

    Hi everyone!!
    Well.... I am back. Turns out that I wasn't pregnant - I had a "blighted ovum." Basically, an egg was fertilized and attached to the uterine wall, but then stopped developing. But my body still thought I was pregnant, so I had all the symptoms of pregnancy, tests and blood work all came out positive, even the amniotic sac was forming! But no baby in there :( The whole thing pretty much sucked.... I had to get a D & E right before Thanksgiving, and did some emotional eating over the holidays, but now I am feeling like my old self and ready to get back to my pre-baby weight!
    I will post again with my current weight today and start to weigh back in regularly on Wednesdays. Also, I obviously am not going to reach my goal of 150 by Xmas, so I'm going to set a new goal of 160. Hopefully I'll be able to get there!

    I agree, I will definitely join a "Looking Good for Summer" thread! Get me motivated through those cold dark winter mos. of Jan, Feb and March! I always get a bit depressed so I eat more during those months. Hopefully if we are all working to look good for the summer, I'll get thru them without eating too much!!

    Hopefully I did not miss anyone starting a new thread since this one is so short. Sorry I forgot to get the weigh in results up on Wednesday but I have been dealing with sick kids. Hopefully every one is doing well with the Christmas rush going strong.

    Right now my goal for the holidays is to maintain where I am at and not gain. Then get back on track for losing again after the holidays. Have a great weekend.
