Hi all,
I am very young outlook 53 and weight 17 stone dead.
I lost 2.2 lbs yesterday amazingly.
I quit smoking on New Year's Day and have piled on 3 stone.
We recently went to Florida on holiday and the photos gave me a real shake up.
I can't put my shoes on without gasping for breath - my own silly fault.
I was overweight before quitting ciggies and have dieted all my life - the best I ever did was with slimming world when I lost 3 stone but relaxed the rules too much and put it all back on and more besides.
Is there anyone out there needing to lose as much as me (about 6 stone) and would like to be my 'new me buddy' please? Having a buddy got me through not smoking!
I would love to hear from you xxxxx

First of all...congrats on quitting smoking! I know how hard it is. I quit cold turkey 7 months ago. I wanted to stab everyone I talked to in the eye for a couple of weeks, but it passed  I keep a lot of low cal crunchy snacks around, that helps when I get that urge to smoke. I also keep sugar free toffees around to grab. I still get the urge to smoke on accasion, especially after meals, when I am driving long distances, or when I am bored....but it does get better. I have managed to keep losing weight and am only about halfway there...but I am getting there! Feel free to add me if you like, and good luck to you!0
