As a child, whenever we were sick my mom would always have a bowl of salty chips for us. It's so psychological for me as an adult because every single time I get a cold, I want my plain ruffle chips! I'm not going to lie, I wanted them but I didn't have any, not even one. This is huge for me. Yeah baby!

Good job to you! There are so many comforting things in food that we remember from childhood (i.e. a cookie whenever we had a boo boo) It's good to remember to watch what kind of associations we are creating in OUR childs mind.

    Good for you!
I also struggle with those comfort foods - and growing up in Amish country has given my quite a taste for things like sausage, mashed potatoes with gravy and chicken casseroles with stuffing. I find that when I get sick or low, I crave those foods more than ever! Thanks for sharing your success story - I'm going to use it the next time I crave a good, old fashioned country breakfast!
