17" and counting

Anyone else digging out from the winter storm in the Midwest? Here in WI we got 17" dumped on us with more to come this afternoon. Makes for a great day staying home, watching movies and playing games with the kids!

I am in Washington state, (southwest near Portland, OR). We don't have any snow, but it was 12 degrees this morning when I got up. We have had extreme cold for the last few days, and no relief expected 'til Sat or Sun. For the first couple of days, we had an East wind that made things worse from wind chill. Unfortunately, the "relief" may be accompanied by freezing rain. :grumble: The humidity is very low (about 30%), but it is clear & sunny.:glasses:

My 3 little dogs, AKA "the three little pigs" have only been walking once in the last 3 days, though they go out as needed via the doggie door. They are beginning to get "cabin fever." One of them is trying to "help" me type this post at the moment, but I am managing despite his "assistance.":laugh:

I realize we are fortunate that you don't have to shovel cold. I hope everyone affected by the snow is prepared and staying comfortable.:flowerforyou:

Hey! I'm in WI too! DH just came in from snow blowing. It's beautiful out but I can't believe we went from nothing to this overnight!:noway:
