Girl Talk...

Since I started this journey to get healthy this is the first "time of the month" (last month I was on a company retreat and had given myself the weekend).
I JUST WANT TO SHOVEL EVERYTHING INTO MY MOUTH and it is killing me.
I have always had this problem of not being able to feel full for these few days. For the last month and a half I have been great! No cravings other than to scowl at my teenagers scarfing down french fries.
Anyone have any tips on how to "survive" this? Craving salt and starch like MAD!

I try to drink extra water to keep myself feeling full. I also use lots of sugar free gum and mints. Those help with the sweet side. For salty, I make some low cal popcorn. Also, I will find things to do outside or in another room to keep myself out of the kitchen. It is an attempt at out of sight out of mind.
  • yea, allow yourself some "bad days," just try to limit the amount of them....even 1 chocolate cookie is better than 3 :) extra water seems to help too!

hot green tea with splenda usually helps me curb cravings any time of the month....it's warm and soothing and a little bit sweet!
