I read alot of articles in magaizines on the 'before and after' diet stories. rarely do i read about someone who has obtained some sort of success but have not yet met their goal. what do you think is the easiest and toughest part of meeting your goal? are you expecting a quick fix or are you under the understanding that this is a life time change and it takes time

If folks are realistic, they should have some short-term goals that will help lead them to their ultimate (sometimes unacheiveable) long-term goal. I'm nowhere near my long-term goal but in the shirt-term i've lost 30 lbs. or so, and 15%+ BF. If I didn't have those short-term goals built-in i'm not sure if i'd still be sticking with it today.
I still struggle to this day with my diet. When I was losing weight at a rapid pace it was much easier, but now that i've reached a different phase of my transformation I am facing much different challenges than I did previously. The good news is I understand that this is not something that can or will change overnight, but at least if I know what my weaknesses are then I can keep a watchful eye on myself to make sure i'm focused on attaining my goals.0 -
Every day that includes some movement and (mostly) healthful eating is a success!
I aim for daily, hard exercise and a net caloric intake if 1200 until I reach my goal. But if I have a day where I only manage to walk the dogs for half an hour and I eat 2000 calories, I STILL went for a walk and didn't eat half a cheesecake! That's success!!
I think it's vital to look longterm and to live in a way that's sustainable for the duration. Like until you die. In your sleep. At a very advanced age. Of happiness.0
