Hello, I'm Dustin.
I am currently a full time student in college as well as an ROTC Cadet. I just finished 39 months of service in the U.S. Active Duty Army.
I'm posting here on MFP because it seems like I need some extra motivation to push myself. I'm not in terrible shape, for those of you who are familiar with a PT Test here's how I did.
22 - 26 Age Group:
58 / 75 Pushups - 81%
70 / 80 Sit-Ups - 87%
15:30 / 13:00 2-Mile Run - 72%
Overall Score: 240 / 300
While a 240 isn't terrible I would really like to improve it to a 270 by the end of this Fall semester and to 300 by the end of the spring semester.
To do this I will be logging all the food I eat (on a college budget unfortunately lol) and I will be doing P90X as well as my daily PT with the platoon, a total of 120 - 150 minutes of exercise a day. I'm aiming for around 2000 calories a day for food.
I've tried to do this several times but it seems like I always make excuses or just get lazy and stop doing it. I'm hoping to add some friends here on MFP to help me feel accountable to other people and to push me to do it.
