I was just wondering what shoes people recommend for running? I just started to run the last couple months and am needing a new pair of shoes. Just thought I would ask to see if there are some brands/ styles that are better than others.

Saucony. Most comfortable and lightweight shoes I've ever owned. Great to walk in......since I hate running. Any style is good. Even their cheapest ones are great. Good luck.

I usually run in Asics, but you should go to a running store and get your feet properly fitted.

this, it doesn't cost anything and you are under no obligation to buy shoes. i got fitted for Asics Gel Kayano 16's a couple years ago. Loved them. Ran them into the ground literally. After those died, I went to buy more and found out they were no longer being made. So I got the Gel Kayano 18's. (hm if 16's were the shiz than 18's must be the bomb.com LOL)

Anyway, I couldn't get 1/4 mile without the outsides of my feet (pinky toes on back) falling asleep. Ugh. I bought the shoes in December, tried to return in January but the 30 day window was expired. I only wore them 3-4 times.

I ended up selling them on CL for $50. A $100 loss. Now I just wear my old azz Nike Free Run shoes and I no longer get that feet falling asleep sensation. I refuse to wear standard running shoes now. Your results may vary. Good luck
