Hi!
I'm new to MFP - been using the app and website now for a few weeks, but just decided to jump into the forums today, so thought I should introduce myself.
I started watching my food about a year ago, and then, when a gym opened at work, got serious into losing some weight. I was over 200 lb, and 5'11". I'm still 5'11", but now weigh around 166, so the majority of my weight loss is done. But... about 2 months ago, I was diagnosed as prediabetic, so keeping active and keeping my weight down are essential to prevent full blown diabetes. As such, I've been mainly hanging in the fitness forum, trying to get some pointers for strength training - if I'm going to do all this work, I might as well look good, right? I also run, swim some, and need to get back on my bike. I figure I need several strands going so I don't get bored with just one and give up.
