figuring out food????

I make a lot of my food from either recipes that do not have the information as far as how much carbs/protein and all that is or I just put somethings together and not sure. So when I go to choose the foods I have eaten for the day I am not sure what to pick and with not knowing how much to put for the numbers I can not add a new recipe.
Just wondering if anyone knows a way around this or what I should do?

    Maybe I misunderstood, but why can't you use the Recipe function here?

    You add each ingredient, one at a time. If you can't find the exact brand of something you used, pick the closest thing you can find. Then enter the number of servings the recipe yields and the Recipe function will give you calories per serving.

    Or did you mean that you don't measure ingredients? If that's the issue, start measuring them?
