Correct. You also make it on your own as creatine phosphate which is the reserve energy source to ATP by donating a phosphate group to ADP --> ATP but it needs to be replenished through diet. Most notably well utilized by Type 2 muscle fibers (fast twitch) during high resistance exercise. Excess creatine and creatine by products are flushed in urine as creatinine. Our primary source of creatine comes from animal proteins, especially red meat. Anyone telling you it isn't natural clearly has no idea what they're talking about.0
