How long until you see results?

I heard that the heavier you are, the faster the you lose weight, and the skinnier you are, the harder it is to lose weight. Is this true? Because I am rather light but would like to lose inches off of my stomach and thighs and I haven't seen any difference since I started. How long did it take you to see results?

is person is different. True that heavier people loose weight faster. Too people can start the same treadmill interval training for 20mins same speed and incline. Example of me and my friend she started 260 and me at 240 guess what she burned more calories then me.
If you just have problem areas such of that of your abs, love handles then work on presise exercises. Make sure to measure. If you work hard on the problem areas Im sure in 2-6 weeks you might can really tell.0 -
Absolutely true. More body weight requires more calories to sustain that weight. Given a constant calorie deficit, weight loss will slow as body weight comes down.
Given that you are light but would like to lose BF, I recommend hitting some heavy weights, maintain a slight calorie deficit (250-500 daily deficit) and eating 1 gram protein per pound of body weight daily. Lifting burns calories and maintains muscle mass while you are losing fat.
In my experience, if you are consistent and work hard, you'll see a difference in 30 days. Your friends will notice in 60 days. People you barely know start commenting around 90 days. Since you are starting off at a lower body weight, your mileage may vary.0 -
Yes, it's very true.
Progress is soooo slow the closer you are to your ideal weight.
Perhaps you should focus more on strength training then, to tone and tighten, and not worry so much about the scale? It helps with staying sane.0 -
Definitely slower for lighter people. Depending on if you're male or female and what you're starting with, you can healthily lose .5-2lbs per week at max. Make sure to also take your measurements; if you're starting light that may be a better way to see progress rather than the scale.0

It also depends on wether your body fat is concentrating on special areas or all over the body.
I still had the hourglass shape even with my highest weight at 290 lb (130kg).
It took quite long until I could see the first results: 45lb (20kg).0 -
If you want to lose inches and you aren't that overweight, you want to Exercise. That's what will get quick results for your looks. Then your calorie restrictions will add into that and you'll reduce body fat, get that great tone, and look fantastic.
Similarly, I didn't have a huge amount to lose (and I hit my initial mark). But without the toning I'm getting from serious brisk walking, I'd have lost the weight but look really flabby. It is shocking to me how now that the 20 lbs of fat is gone, there is all this extra space that needs to just rearrange itself. So now I need to add some strength training too. I feel like I've had a baby.
And the trimmer shape shows me where more fat could come off.0
