Any new moms?

I'm almost 12 weeks post-partum and decided I need to get a little more serious about dropping these last 20-25 pounds or so. I've always been pretty active, never a size 2 or anything but never really overweight so this is tough for me. This is baby #2 and the weight just isn't coming off this time. Just looking for some support and encouragement to keep me motivated. Especially since I am back at work. The desire is there. However finding the time and energy (since my little one is no where near being able to sleep thru the night and my toddler keeps me busy during the day) is the biggest challenge. Hoping this is where I can get that extra little push to get me up early and out of bed in the am. And I do mean early, shooting for 5-6 am workouts when I can, pretty much the only time I can work out. Heres to getting back in shape!

    Hi

I have an 8 month old and a 4 year old. 4 weeks after I had my youngest, I was 13lbs over pre-pregnancy weight, but I gained a good 14lbs a few months after that! So I was so depressed knowing I had to lose all that first THEN get to losing my baby weight. It was a bad time but I started off by walking and am now about 6lbs away from losing all of my baby weight. THEN, I have to start working on my baby weight from my 4 year old, lol. I also am very limited, as my husband is out of the country. I can only workout when my baby sleeps! Whether I feel like it or not, I have to if I want to get this weight off. So I get the fact that our worlds must revolve around our kids' timing. I think if you make it into a routine, something that you can enjoy, you might look forward to it and adapt it into your life as normal. That first week might suck a little but also remember, you NEED your sleep too. I would never choose working out over sleep! Also, remember that it took 9 months to put the weight on, give yourself 9 months (at most, or least) to get it off. Good luck!
