Hello, does anyone know why mfp doesn't show cals burned/used in any form of strength training? I do weight training and enter in the reps/weights etc used and it never shows that my workouts use/burn any calories:( Tks

Because its so variable and hard to estimate. If you want to estimate use a HRM, but because of factors such as muscle/fat ratios, its difficult to pull a number out of the air.0

Under cardio options there is 'strength training' and I put that in as a rough estimate.
From memory I think 40 mins is about 150 calories so if anything it may underestimate, otherwise as people suggested a HRM is your best bet0 -
search strength training under cardio0

I wear a heart rate monitor during strength training then create my own exercise under cardio and enter the time and burn manually.0
