Fitness/Exercise where to start?

Hey people :P

I'm getting to the stage of mfp where I think I could do with toning up a bit more- a bit more focus on exercise and not on calorie intake!

I'm not entirely sure where to start though, I'm looking for toning-up (everywhere) rather than being 'built'. I dont really get on with fitness videos either, I like to be doing something else if I'm exercising (I normally walk back from my nearby town if i'm in there, for example, so I have a sense of short-term purpose for doing it)

If anyone has recommendations, I'd appreciate them!
