body pump people...

how do you log your classes in your exercise log? I am just curious. I logged it last week but can't remember what I used, lol, but thought I would just see how others do it. TIA!

I asked my local gym what the recommended caloric burn is for each class. Then I reduced their number by 50. I'm sure that they over inflate the actual burn. I created my own exercise log for Body Pump, CR Works, ect...

    Hope that helps!
  • HRM.... usually burns 450 cal doing body pump.... 500 on body attack or 500 - 550 for body jam or cardio!!!

    Heart Rate Monitor!
I find the amount of cals given on the website are FAR higher that what I actually burn - but I am short and petite so that could be why.

    I'm 5f2", 134lbs and burn between 250 -270 per 60min class.

I have added it as cardio, but I have a BodyMedia Fit, so I log the calories my armband tells me I burned each workout. As a reward, might want to consider either a HRM or one of the other devices (BMF, Fitbit, etc) to keep up with your actual burn. Everyone's body is different, so you can't get an accurate reading unless you actually read your body.

definitely considering something like that. First big purchase is new shoes though. Then I will look into something that monitors my heart rate etc. for now my shoes are about done in, due to some mud running, and I am going to have to spend money there first because I am also getting into running here lately and need good foot wear to carry me through that. :)
