Hello. i was thinking of playing around with my daily calorie goal abit. Instead of eating the 1420 a day im supposed to im thinking of doing 1300 calories a day on a sunday monday tuesday wednesday and thursday then having 1720 calories on a friday and saturday so my weekly calorie amount remains the same. Does anyone else do this. Ive heard that this is often good for weight loss as your body can get used to eating the same amount so if you have 2 higher days your body will be fooled and shake up your matabolism or something along those lines lol. Thougts please

My calorie goal is 1200, but Monday-Thursday I usually go below that. Then on the weekends, I always add more calories. The problem with that is you end up maintaining your weight rather than losing. It's better to stay within your goal, but it is really difficult for me on the weekend because I enjoy going out and having fun. Good luck.0

I normally just do this without thinking about it. I try to average out my food over the week instead of daily then I can account for days where I just naturally eat more or when people want to go for lunch or just life in general I've not had a problem losing weight doing it.0

ANYONE ELSE GOT ANY THOUGHTS.....0 -
I think you should be fine alternating high and low calories days. I think we naturally do that anyway. Some days you're just hungrier than other days...it's natural. Give it a go and see what happens. Good luck and CONGRATS on your upcoming wedding. (cute fiance ) Gives me hope, lol.0

I know that I'll eat more on weekends so I try to stay under during the week so I that I can meet my goals every week without feeling like I can't have a life/be social, etc. on the weekends. I have been playing around with the same 1lb for the past month though so....it's not really working!0

Hi
This is the way I work my calories every week. I save calories to enjoy more to eat at the end of the week. As long as your weekly total equals each days allowance you will still be in a deficit and lose. If this helps, I keep a separate notebook so I know what I've saved each day but the phone/iPad app has a weekly graph which shows how many calories you have left in the week.
Good luck!0 -
Non work out days I eat 1600, on exercise days I eat back my calories so it can be anywhere from 1800-2100 cals.0
