I'm meeting with my tattoo artist at 3:00 today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm hoping to schedule it for January since I'm starting my teaching assistanceship then.

I want nyansapo, the Wisdom Knot. It's an Adinkra symbol, as is the one I have already.

I'll be getting it on my upper left shoulder.

  • I love tattoos... I as well have 4 small ones... 2 of them I just got 2 weeks ago :) I want a lrager peice on my upper thigh/hip at some point!
  • Yayyyyy!

I have been wanting to get a tattoo since I was around 14. I am still tattoo free :( but that's because I have never been able to decide what to have inked. I have a daughter who will be 3 soon, so I want to get a tattoo for her.

My plan is to get my tattoo when I have reached my goal weight :)

Emma-- This is my second. I have a picture of my first in my photos. It means 'he who does not know can know from learning'. The African name is pretty long. It's great to meet with the artist and have him help with the design if necessary. Get really comfortable with him and the process will be very enjoyable.

Barbarella-- Adinkra is used in West Africa to adorn pottery and tapestry. There are many different symbols, each with their own meaning. The Wisdon Knot is considered very important and symbolizes wisdom, intelligence, ingenuity, and patience. It's about utilizing your wisdom and academic knowledge to realize and attain your goals. The one I have on my back is about lifelong learning.

My tattoos mean a lot to me because they symbolize my greatest values. The one I have on my back is like a body part now..if I woke up and it was gone, I'd be VERY upset! I am SO excited for my second, I wish I didn't have to wait so long to get it!!!
