Just because it says:
Sugar free- it can be loaded with sodium, and carbs to cover up taste.
Low carb- it can be loaded with sugar, and sodium.
Not to mention the ingredients. People follow the nutrition facts (some focus on calories), but there are some weight gaining ingredients! [Yes moderation is the word but some people abuse it]
High corn frucose syrup.
I'm done ranting.

I like Stevia but I recently got this email from John Barban who wrote Anything Goes Diet and Venus Index.
He helped me to achieve my goals. He put my story on the Venus Index Blog (I am Roberta)
Finding ways to reduce calories will eventually lead you
to the unavoidable situation where you must choose between
sugar or artificial sweeteners...so what do you do?
Personally I don't have a problem with artificial sweeteners or
sugar. You can lose weight consuming both as long as you're
total calories are in control.
With that said one simple way to reduce some calories from your
diet is to replace some sugar with sweeteners. If consuming
sweeteners is a concern to you then the simplest thing to do is
cycle the sweeteners you choose to use.
Instead of choosing between sugar or one sweetener you can
cycle through all of them including: Splenda, Ace-K, Sucralose,
Saccharin, Stevia, and yes even sugar.
Each artificial sweetener has it's own distinct taste and aftertaste
and using too much of any one of them will end up giving your
food or drinks a bit of an 'off' taste.
A simple way to avoid the unpleasant aftertaste is to combine a bit
of sugar with a bit of artificial sweetener. You can do this with
different combinations until you've got the mix that you like.
This way you can have the sweetness and taste that you like while
cutting down on the total calories and sugar you're consuming.
The key is to cycle through various sweeteners so you're also never
overusing any single sweetener either.
This is a simple way to reduce calories from sugar and also avoid
over using any single sweetener.
