I couldn't find a search bar, so I'm sorry if this has been asked before. I just got a prescription for the birth control LEENA and naturally, I looked up reviews online...I only found THREE. Two of the three said that this particular bc had them gain tons of weight and that other brands didn't.

I'm not worried just yet. While the majority of reviews I've read said this particular brand causes tons of weight gain, three is a SMALL sample size. Thus, I bring this to you. Make my sample size bigger ladies. If you are or have ever been on leena, please give me a review!

I was on Leena for about two years, I did not gain any weight, or lose any. I am currently 125lbs and 5'5, so I'm healthy, the only issue I had with the pill was my mood swings. They would go off the charts, I couldn't handle it anymore. I also had very very low libio, which I think is just how I am? I'm not sure, as I've only been off of it for almost two months.

It helps that you've found a calorie counting site. (Edit: just noticed your post count, so I guess you already know what's up.) The pill won't cause you to retain more fat, but it can cause some water retention or lead you to want to eat more. Now is the time to start controlling variables so you know for sure what may or may not be going on.

Set up your weight loss profile to maintain your weight (unless you're already losing). Track your food intake as accurately as possible. If you find yourself struggling to stick to maintenance calories, then the pill may be ramping up your appetite. Try to stick it out for a while. Your appetite may even out. If it gets to be unbearable, you may want to talk to your doc about trying something else.
