Insanity upper body modifications?

To anyone who is doing or has done insanity:
I have come to learn that I have a pretty weak upper body and I find that a lot of the plank position/push up type activities on the insanity workout are simply much to difficult for me to do safely with my current strength. Does anyone have any suggested modifications? I hate to just sit there while the work out requires those activities and I do want to work myself up to being able to do them.
Thanks!

Good luck with Insanity Brittany it's a killer workout routine but at the end of every session you know you just got a great workout. For all the pushup and arm related exercises like the push-up jacks or suicide jumps, just simply do pushups from your knees and when that gets too hard to do, catch your breath and do a few situps. You'll get a decent bit of exercise in your upper body but the key is just to do what you can, and keep your heart rate up so you're still getting the cardio. You'll be doing every exercise in no time.
