Just got dizzy from eating(drinking) sugar

My family went to DQ today. Instead of getting an ice cream, I bought an Arctic rush. Very yummy Lemon Lime btw. When we got home I started feeling weird. I was dizzy and the room was spinning when I moved my head. I laid down for 30min. As I was making dinner I realized I have not ingested that much sugar in over a month. 26g of sugar in a medium drink. I have eaten moslty fruits/veggies and complex carbs (brown rice). What a shock to my system. Anyone else have this happen. It was almost like I was drunk with sugar.

    Brain freeze and sugar rush all in one!

    I get nauseous with a blinding headache when I drink that kind of stuff - especially on an empty stomach!
