Which milk gives you the most for the least? The most nutrition for the least amount of calories.

Skim

Almond

Soy

or others I don't know about.

Protein shakes are easy for me but I feel that skim milk is a lot of calories for what I am getting. Maybe I am wrong, or just don't know what I am talking about.

What are your thoughts?

"the most for the least" of what .... calories, protein, sodium, potassium, etc. It's a very subjective question. If you want the most protein or lowest sodium, skim milk. Lowest sugar, unsweetened almond. More fiber, almond or soy.

I love almond milk for the flavor, plus the calcium, but I don't rely on it for protein, since I'm not vegetarian. I would just use what pleases your tastebuds.

I usually stick to unsweetened almond, but there are a few more options:

    hemp http://www.bewellbuzz.com/nutrition/almond-vs-hemp-milk/
    and
    coconut

why not just alternate between the ones you like since they all have their pluses and minuses

    I drink mostly 2%
  • Soy wreaks havoc on the hormonal balance in mammals. Just ditch that idea all together.

Almond milk has a higher concentration of A, D, and E vitamins but skim milk gives more trace minerals. Also, skim milk contains a good amount of disaccharide sugars called lactose not found in almond milk so if youre aiming low carb then almond milk just be sure to make up for missing components elsewhere.
