Have it once a week as a treat? Replace it with something else?

I'm the same, love to share a bottle of wine with hubby at the weekend but found that it wall stalling my weight loss. I have decided to stop till I get to goal and then I can fit it back in as a weekend treat again. I think as long as you can fit it into your calories it's not a problem though

It's really difficult, I have the same issue.

I find the non-alcoholic wines you can get now are my best friend - they give the same satisfaction of opening a bottle, pouring it into a glass, and while the taste isn't quite the same, it does tick a lot of boxes.

Another one is to keep a jug of iced water in the fridge with some flavourings - 2 sticks of cinnamon and a choped up apple as good. Serve it in a wine glass.

I have a new rule in my house... Never step into a bar, 2 glasses of wine or whiskey or 2 bottles of beer per week maximum.

It beats 20+ alcoholic beverages every week, killer hangovers that last for days, vomiting and crawling out of pubs and eating stacks of junkfood.

I know what you mean, it's a tough one. I'm a massive fan of wine, used to have about half a bottle every night and more at the weekends.

I've found that not allowing myself any wine at home during the week has been the only successful way of stopping myself. I'm allowed one bottle over the weekend to share with my bloke.

If I want a drink during the week I now keep gin or vodka in the cupboard and have a small amount with some diet tonic or soda - I think it's really made a difference and I don't feel so guilty about having a drink after dinner. Good luck with it!
