Hi all
I'm a mature student and in the last throes of writing my thesis. I have a deadline of 31 Dec but I am effectively my own boss. I try to be disciplined coming into uni rather than sitting at home in my jimjams at the computer. I am fairly good throughout the week and then at weekends I generally go a bit crazy but I've been doing ok with MFP.

However, i've recently found that during the week I am getting snack cravings throughout the day and this is definitely related to procrastination and working to my own deadlines. I feel the need to have short breaks that revolve around food and my opportunities for exercise are slightly fewer (more time writing...) so would welcome any advice on:

short non-food related breaks, low cal snacks (UK) and how not to procrastinate (oh and if anyone wants to write my thesis for me, get in touch... ;) (gosh i'm almost tempted to take up smoking...eeekk!!)

Step away from the cigarettes, they do not look this cool :smokin:

Fruit, especially plums, are my saviours! Victoria plums are just about coming into season and they are SO nice! Also, don't have anything naughty that doesn't require cooking - popcorn? Don't buy the ready cooked or microwave stuff, buy the proper corn and see if you can be arsed doing some when it requires cooking and washing up!

If you have time to eat you have time to exercise, sorry! Make yourself a deal that for 3 weeks you will alternate snacking with exercise - every time you fancy a nibble do a little 5-10 mins workout instead and hold yourself to it! Even picking one song that you love to dance to, put that on, get your wiggle on, then sit down again
