Numbness in foot/shin

For the past two days I have been experiencing numbness in the top of my right foot. I kind of have a strange sensation starting at in the middle of my shin and it progressively gets worse the lower down it goes. I am not sure what has caused it, but does anyone have any ideas on what it could be or how to eleviate it? Starting to get a little worried here...

    First thought is to go see a doctor as soon as you can. Could be a pinched nerve or blood flow is impeded some how but it's tough to diagnose just from saying a numbness or tingling. If it's a constant sensation as opposed to only when you're walking then get to the doc asap and find out what's up.

    I pinched a nerve a while back that hurt only at a certain point when I walked. It went away over time.

    Ibuprofen could possibly help some since it's an anti inflamatory but again, I'd still go get a pro's opinion on something like that.

    hmmmm could be this..but I would ask a doc..unless you have more symptoms! it's kind of hard to tell ..stokes usually are in the arms and on the left side..so it's not that..could be just a pinch nerve like mdamon said...but anti anti-inflamatory may just be the ticket...
