Clean eating question

Options
Hi Guys--
I have 2 questions about what counts as 'clean' eating and what doesn't:
-Is oat bran a clean food?
-Are Wasa Crackers (ingredients: Rye Flour, Water, Salt) a clean food?

Would love your input!! I am trying to clean up my diet :)

Thank you!

I use Wasa as clean crackers! However, there is a brand called Ak Mak which is definitely 100% clean and SO good.

I think oat bran counts as clean.

I would check this article out. Doesn't mean you shouldn't strive to eat nutrient dense foods and try to reduce the heavily processed food items in your diet, but nonetheless the points here are valid and worth the read. The last thing you should bog your head down with is whether or not you can eat a food item based on whether it falls into a "clean" or "not clean" bucket:

Its clean if it grows from the ground or comes from a mother! :)
Once you get the hang of it, your body will thank you!!
    Good Luck!

My rule of thumb is that the food must either give me protein or give me fiber. Ak-Mak are the only crackers that fit for me; it was very sad to say goodbye to my favorites, Cheez-It and Wheat Thins.

You're going to say, "did you drop them on the floor after they were removed from their wrapper?" Am I right? Because that's what I would say.

Sorry, OP. I'm not trying to be a troll. I think if you eat 80% nutrient-dense foods, 20% processed foods won't hurt you at all. Take this from a girl who can't go 2 days without an ice cream fix! LOL!

Technically neither are, as they are processed. Does it matter? No.

Eating clean is all about avoiding processed foods. Its a lifestyle some swear by, but I prefer moderation. I personally try to reduce the amount of processed foods I consume, but could never cut them out entirely.

Just try and eat fresh produce more often than something packaged in cardboard and plastic. There are many wonderful 'clean meals' out there if you just browse the web.
