Which to follow Dr or MFP

Hello all,

I have a similar question a few others i have seen.

When I joined mfp recommended an 1800 calorie a day "budget", but my dr recommended around 1200-1300. So i 'm confused on which i should follow?

Which should I follow? I have been signed up for about 2months now and have been shooting for about 1400ish, but I am now more serious about losing weight and would like to follow?

    The doctor typically assumes you aren't going to follow 1300 correctly, and that you will underestimate calories consumed as most people do...
