MFP calories alotted?

Ok.... quickly- I started at 132, now 116.5 and want to maintain. I started at 1200 cals based on 2lbs lost a week.... I was told to go to 1640 to maintain-but didn't cause it seemed way too high- so instead I did 1400. I have gained back about 2lbs and not sure why? MFP I know gives a general idea but something seems off.

Anyone else have this happen to them? Thanks to all who answer

    Your body is probably used to 1200cals by now and adjusted your metabolism. I have the same problem and I was told to try to incorporate more strenght training instead of only cardio so my metabolism speeds up and my muscles burn more cals! I am going to start following this advice and report back to you if it helps, but it clearly seems logical.
    Additionally you should increase you cal intake gradually and very slowly to avoid weight gain! You have to give your body time to adjust to a normal amout of calories.

    How long a timeframe are we talking? How long were you at 1200 cals? How long have you been at 1400? How quickly did you put on the weight?
