My name is Erin, I'm 29, and I just joined MFP yesterday.
I'm 5'6", currently 138 lbs and working to get my old body back. I'd like to get down to 125 lbs before the end of the year.
I've always been the "skinny girl," and maintaining 120-125 lbs was what my body did naturally...until about a year ago. My weight started creeping up. Every time I saw the doctor, I had put on another pound or two. I didn't think much of it at the time, honestly. A couple weeks ago, my husband and I finally got our new scale to work (those fancy ones are IMPOSSIBLE sometimes ), and I freaked when I was faced with a number close to 140. I decided then that things were going to change.
I don't have a lot of weight to lose. I don't want to be a stick figure by any means. But I don't feel comfortable in my body. I knew even before I stepped on the scale that I'd gained weight based on the way my clothes were fitting (or not fitting) and my desire to wear sweats and t-shirts every day. Anyway, I'd love to connect with some people with similar goals. Like I said, I never had to work for my body before, so this is an entirely new venture for me. I'd love all the support I can get.
