I know your supposed to eat back your calories, but what if you dont and you have an excess amount left over.. say 800 or so at the end of the day. Will this send your body into starvation mode and shut down your metabolism and stall your progess? I can see having a couple hundred left over and getting away with that, but more than that would be bad right?

Someone posted a good study yesterday on how exercise calorie eating allowed you to keep much more muscle when you were on a deficit. So when you don't eat back your weight loss is muscle. When you do, it's fat.

Sounds like a argument to me.

I always allow myself to eat back but don't force myself to. But I also will eat more the next day to average out my net calories over a few days.
