Covering a Tattoo

Because of things outside our control, my husband is having to go look for a job. The problem is he has a tattoo that needs to be covered. Can anyone give me a makeup suggestion that's a decent price that will cover it up?

I would just use regular concealer or something like that. I don't use that kind of makeup, so I have no idea. The stuff to hide pimples and crap like that lol

Until we can get it removed, yes.
  • I'll second Dermablend. It's made to cover things like port wine stains, it will cover a tattoo.

Cover FX... Angelina Jolie uses it to hide her tattoos in movies :)

i've tried it on my sister's wrist tattoo and it was amazing... just use setting powder with it

I agree with those 2 ladies -- I use Dermablend to cover my wrist tattoo (it's a skull & wristbones with "no regrets" written below it, not so good for my current office job search).

It works perfectly! I've never had anyone notice that I even have a tattoo when I use it.

Takes some practice to get just the right amount applied (less is more, and build in thin layers), but it's totally worth it. I actually bought it like 5 years ago and it's still going strong!
  • I am going thru this now. I have a tattoo on my wrist that isn't offensive but it could give off a bad impression during an interview. However, I would reveal that I had it before taking a new job. My current employer knows I have tatts and doesn't care. There are definately cover-ups for tatts. The good ones are a bit costly but worth it if they work well.

there is stuff called Wrecking Balm that they sell to fade tattoos if u want to try that. i've seen it at walmart or u can order it online. dont know how fast it works but its worth a try if u dont want to go for laser removal.

He has 18 tattoos, but he's going to try to get a job where I work. Tattoos in general are fine, and none of his are offensive. However, he has this one on his face......that he knows was a huge mistake that will need to be covered for him to work there.

Kind of wonder why you bothered to answer since you have no idea. If regular concealer would work, would she be asking the question?

True, but it even says on the box not for the face. And we don't have the money for the laser removal right now. We may still say 'f' it and get the wrecking balm to fade it, but he needs to at least get the ball rolling to get a job.
