I have been an avid walker for quite some time - 3 to 4 miles a day at a 15 - 16 minute a mile pace 4 - 5 times a week. About 6 months ago I had a wake call and became serious about losing weight and getting healthy. I added Jazzercise to my exercise routine, love it, and can tell the difference in my body tone. So my question is - is the strength part of Jazzercise enough or at some point in time should I add in some specific weight training.

You need specific weight training..and not throwing around 8 pound dumbells each week.... 3 days a week training is best..to allow your muscles to rest.....and try your best to challenge yourself and lift heavy.. :drinker:

feel free to pm me if you like.. I'm crazy nuts for weight lifting

Definitely do a Jazzercise Body Sculpting class if your location offers them. I LOVE doing a double with that and a regular class. Or maybe they offer Personal Touch sessions. If not, do some added reps at home either on your own or with a good DVD - strength training is great at melting those inches.
