Help! Asian Buffet!

Sooo every month me and a large group of friends go out to different restaurants and tomorrow we are going to an Asian (Chinese Japanese American Fusion) Buffet.
I've been before and loved the food but now that I am more focused on what I consume I am a little worried.
What would be my best selections at an Asian buffet so that I do not eat my entire allotment of calories in one sitting?

Eat smaller meals the rest of the day so you can enjoy and fit in a nice meal with your friends!0 -
I agree with definitely managing the rest of your day so that you can enjoy your dinner! Also, try avoiding anything fried or in sauce and opt for steamed veggies and protein that isn't fried. You can also enjoy some sushi too. I'm not sure how many calories are in Asian soups but maybe egg drop soup or something like that may be an option.0

Oh that's a huge weakness of mine! I second the leaving yourself lots of calories suggestion, and the soup suggestion! Start with soup, and drink your full glass of water before you start filling a plate! Avoid deep fried stuff! Oh, and instead of taking a scoop of something that looks appealing, just take a piece (or 2 if it's your favorite), then you can have the flavor and fun of eating lots of yummy things, without the calories of a full serving. Good luck. This is making me hungry0

Thanks guys!
I'll try to stay lighter on the calories during breakfast and lunch...but I know its gonna be hard! I am always starving after my mid morning workout and end up having my lunch early!0 -

So this is my plan dinner I can up with while trying to remember what foods will be available:
Dinner
Generic - Chinese Pork Fried Dumplings, 1 dumplings - 66
Chinese - Spring Roll, 1 roll - 100
Chinese Restaurant - Egg Drop Soup, 1 cup (24g) - 60
Chinese - Steamed Mixed Vegetables, 4 oz - 44
Generic - Vegetable Lo Mein, 1 cup - 220
Total: 490
I included the dumpling and spring roll cause I know I won't be able to resist them! But instead of getting 3...or 4 or 5 like I normally one. I'll limit myself and load up on more vegetables. I'll probably get more than 4 oz of veggies if they are looking good (last time I went they looked sad )
