Any fitness experts out there?

I'm trying to put together a strengthening routine that I can do at home. Can't really afford to go to the gym plus I've never felt comfortable there. The problem is every time I find full body strengthening exercises, they always include squats and lunges. I have an injury to one of my knees and cannot do squats or lunges (believe me I've tried). I also have spondyliolisthesis in my back and a problem with my hip. I used to be able to do squats and lunges and I do know how effective they are. Are there any other exercises that I could do that work the same muscles as squats and lunges? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Could you get an exercise ball and do ball squats? You would put the ball against the wall and lean on it about mid-back height and then do squats that way? This is how I did squats for a long time before building up my legs enough to not injure my really bad knees.0

I do have an exercise ball so I will definitely try ball squats and see if that will take some of the pressure off my knee. Not sure what the injury is yet cause i'm still waiting for an mri. Will try a few ball squats and keep doing them if they do not aggravate my knee. Thanx for the advice!0

Ball squats are a no go. I guess anything where I'm bending my knee while it's bearing my weight is not gonna work :ohwell:0
