Exhausted myself!

I have been really busting butt to try to get back in shape.....I have been jogging 4 times a week and for 11 days straight-did Jillian Michaels workout....10 days on level 1 and then 1 day on level 2. I did 3 miles yesterday and just couldn't bring myself to doing Jillian. I was having my son's 1st b-day party and was tired already from my office Christmas party the night before. Today-I did NOTHING. I just needed a day of rest! I plan on doing 3.5 miles tomorrow and Jillian again! I lost 4 pounds the last 2 weeks-I need to really stick with it. I think I overdid it a bit-not good to burn yourself out!

Sometimes you have to fly a little close to the sun, just to recognize what the heat feels like.
If you understand that exercise training is a constant process of adapting to physical overload, it's understandable that there are going to be days when you are still in "recovery" mode and need to back off.
Sometimes that means knowing how to plan your routine to include varied workouts, sometimes it means just taking a rest day. I have averaged 2-3 "off" days a month since March, but I always include "active rest" days into my routine. And occasionally, you just hit a day where your body says "no mas" -- you just learn to listen for that and not to feel like a "failure" for heading to the couch. Usually that means a good workout is right around the corner.0 -
Thank you! I did get out this am and ran 3.5 miles and did Jillian Michaels level 2 of the shred! I felt pretty strong and rested. I am tired now but I know it will help me sleep better tonight! My son turned 1 today and I want to be in great shape to chase him around!0
