Here we go on another week. We did great this week! No gains, all losses or the same. I was amazed I was able to lose after not being able to exercise the rest of the week, but I did it. I can't say I was perfect all week, but I am capable of making change and that says a lot!
Go Blue Team!!:flowerforyou:

Even with all of my exercise plans, I stayed the same this week. Oh, well, it wasn't a gain, and I will hang in there!
If anyone wants some music to get in the Christmas spirit, you can go to my church's website and listen to the duet that my daughter and I sang with our guitars for the service yesterday. Just scroll down to the bottom selection, where it says Mary and Jenny Christmas Music. She is singing soprano and I am singing alto. http://www.1stcc.org/music.html
Happy Monday to all!0 -

I just went to check my BMI and how depressing is that. I think I will concentrate on what size pants I want to get into for right now. I will still weigh myself every week. Exercise 5x/week. I just found $100 that I got for my birthday so that is less money out of my pocket for the treadmill. I can do this.
Thanks again for the support. You guys are the best. :flowerforyou:0 -
Great job team Blue!! We are doing great!
I am back on track after a weekend of horrible eating. But that's ok. Can't I'm here now and the bad eating will continue no longer. Back to the gym tonight.
Here's to a good week :drinker:0 -
Taradise - I didn't have a week of it but after 3 family gatherings over the weekend I was very happy to be reporting a loss this week....there is NEVER healthy choices at those covered dish dinners.0

We have not named her yet she is half pit bull part german shepard and part rotwiller (we think we are not posative who the daddy is) She is brown with black patches of fur and only 7 weeks old0 -
Chrissy, it is so amazing that you are that close to your goal!! What are you going to do to celebrate when you reach it?? I am guessing that you can't believe you are almost there.
I am actually doing alright with my eating. I tend to be good at logging everything until dinner and then I make something that I would have to estimate the calories on and just never get it logged. So I don't think I am going over--but I am not positive. Last night I made my own tortillas (we ran out and if I ran to the store I knew I would end up spending $50 or more) and this bean mix that is really good--can of chili, can of pork and beans, can of kidney or black beans and one of corn--mix it all up and put in a tortilla with cheese. You can eat it as a taco or wrap it all up and bake for a crispy tortilla (chimichanga) Soo good. I just have never figured the cals, I guess I could do that this morning instead of complaining and typing and messing around...
For some reason I always figured I had to exercise to lose weight so this is a bit of an eye opener to me right now.
Have a great day and good eating thoughts to all of you...

Chrissy I know if anyone can do it you can:flowerforyou:0 -
If I don't get them for Christmas....my "reward" is a set of Bose Earbuds....$90 for $90 pounds! Kinda hope I don't get them so I have that carrot dangling...if I do...I think I'll put them up til I hit it!0
-
I ordered P90X for my husband - he's been looking at it wanting it so I am crossing my fingers it's here before Christmas--they said it should be. I am so excited that he wants to do it.0
-
I wish my husband would want to do p90x. He's really not into the health thing currently, too much stress with work to think about anything else. He worries me though--especially when I keep hearing of 30 somethings in the hospital with heart attacks!
I'm making some of Doc's chili from the Biggest Loser cookbooks--yummy and low cal. I think that will be my lunch for a few days.0 -
Way to go Almomay!!!! :drinker:0

msh0530 - beautiful Christmas tune! Thanks for the site, too. Gotta be playing some Christmas music next week @ work!
chrissy - you're such an inspiration to us all! 90 pounds here you come!
Taradise - welcome back! :flowerforyou: Have fun in the gym?
smadag1 - I'm sure the pup is as glad to have you guys as you are to have it. Have fun with the Tae Bo DVD!
sanifrey - your "little black dress" pic is HOT! Woohoo!
Thanks for the advice in the other message about my exercise calories. Yesterday I wasn't feeling very well and didn't push as hard, so I ended up having only 3 calories left after exercise. Today I have around 280 ... and I'm not hungry! I'm trying. We'll see what it does!
So, what is everyone doing for Christmas?0 -
Thank you guys- but I really could not have done this without you. There have been many times when I have cried or felt like giving up and I sit on my computer and I read your messages. You guys are angels!0
-
Almomay - you rock!
Go, Chrissy, go! Go, Chrissy, go! (You are an inspiration to me. I remember cheering for you around 70 lbs. lost when you were stuck, and I think of you often now that I am kind of stuck there.)
smadag - Glad you got a puppy. I think it's just what you needed!
lcorrell - I am going to my mother's for Christmas weekend (about 3 hours away). Then on New Year's weekend all 6 of my girls (3 daughters and 3 nieces, all pretty much raised together like sisters across town from each other) will be around, with 4 husbands, one boyfriend, my 2 grandsons, 1 grandniece, and 2 grandnephews. Good times! How about you?
I went to the eye doctor today and got a surprise. I have been getting frustrated, as I am having more trouble seeing. As a diabetic who is not exactly a spring chick any more, this causes me concern. Well, the dr. did his tests, and said, "The numbers seem to be showing that your nearsightedness has improved. In diabetics, this is usually an indication that the blood sugar is under much better control." I was so surprised - what a benefit to my new healthier lifestyle! I have a long way to go yet, but it is exciting to "see" real results like this! So, I ordered new glasses with less correction so that hopefully I will be able to see better. I didn't realize that I could actually improve my vision.
Well, I have rambled on enough. Hope all are doing well. Here's to smart choices!0 -
Mornin all
Iam having a crappy morning my boss is not here and he left me alone with the "children". I can not stand half the people in this office today. The puppy did better last night but was still up a couple of times and she is a real cuddler ( i need to break her of that before she gets to big and takes up the whole bed) I will get a picture of her on here as soon as I can and let you know what we named her0 -
almomay--you inspire me. I don't know how you do it but I am going to catch up with you...
Mary congratulations on the eyesight improving. My mother in law doesn't believe me that you can choose your path, and improve your diabetes and all that goes with the disease. She is determined to believe that she doesn't have control. I am so proud of you for proving that you do have control and things can get better!!
smadag--Good luck with the "children" Sometimes adults really can act like children. You can survive even if they are being that way. Don't give in to temptation--I know I tend to when I am frustrated.
I am staying home for christmas this year, it is going to be nice. I think I am going to cook a ham and have a salad and yams with it. We don't have any official plans other than that--I would have been working if I hadn't quit so I am really looking forward to a laid back holiday.
Today was actually a better day with my daughter going to school. I spent 45 min talking to the school psychologist yesterday and came up with some ideas as to what to do and it worked this morning. I gave her choices, I could walk her to the door or walk her to the line. Of course she chose walking to the door and she just walked in after that. A complete change from the last two days of screaming a holding on to me so that the teacher has to guide her in. I feel much better with that.
Iam off to a funeral of an old family friend. I used to babysit his kids. I never know what to say--I guess I will find something.
Eat well!:flowerforyou:0 -
msh0530- I'm so happy to hear about your positive dr visits. It's always great to hear that your diet is improving your health.
chrissy- Wohoooo! you go girl! You're almost there, and you are really an inspiration to all of us; that it is possible to do this thing.
Debnu- You can do this! congrats on your weight loss this week and on keeping positive while watching your diet.
taradise- Welcome back! Hope you had a good time!
For the holidays I'll spend it with my mom and my family. I usually know what she's cooking so I can plan my calories for the day.
So, I had not worked out this week because I was feeling tired and wiped and took a little break. I was playing with my diet and removed all the grains for 2 days and I found I didn't like it because working out was not the same. I got my rest and today I was back at the gym and am trying to retrain my body to wake up early. So this morning I didn't wake up at 5:00am, but I woke up at 6:00am and felt pretty good about that.
I'm also officially on grad school break. Wohoo! I just got my grades in and did really great, so I guess all the hard work payed off.
We can do this, beautiful blues!!!!0 -
This team is full of biggest losers! You all inspire us!
Losing weight is hard. But having people who are all in the same boat, makes it easier. We all have are slip ups, especially this time of year. But we all encourage each other to keep going. 2010 belongs to all of us!!! We can and will acheive our goals.
We already started our resolution to better ourselves, so we are ahead of the game. So, let's finish 2009 strong and go into 2010 like the champions I know we are!!! :drinker:
Happy Holidays!0
