I used to HATE the rowing machine but now i love it.

Am just wondering, would it fall under a cardio workout or weights? i up my rowing level quite high and i can really feel it in my arms like i do when i do weigh training. .

Thanks.

I've heard that anything involving over 20 reps should not be considered weight training so rowing definately should be considered cardio

yes and no. it`s more time related than rep related. the anaerobic wall can need as long as 30min to be reached if you`re going at a low enough intensity. and i saw a sweet youtube vid of a bodybuilder lifting like 500lbs for 23 reps, I doubt anyone would consider that cardio.

but you do have the right idea, once you`re past the 20 rep range, what you are doing is more muscle endurance. the strength pathways aren`t near as active and cardio pathways are def more fired up. the bodies energy systems do have a fair bit of overlap. it`s not like ok, the lactic acid system just shut off, body is powered by cardio system now. it`s more like one system ramps down in power made, while the other ramps up and they overlap and contribute at the same time.
